Pearls is a pattern book for fuse beads. Version 1.0 has 20 free patterns in two categories, animals and vehicles, all for a square board with 14 × 14 pegs. Children can also draw their own patterns.
Using the app
Tap a picture in the library to open the pattern. Each round dot is a bead, in the color the bead should be. White beads have a dark outline, and empty pegs show as small gray dots.
Pinch with two fingers, or tap plus and minus, to zoom in and out. Drag with one finger to move the pattern.
If the pattern ends up in the wrong place, the button with four corners shows the whole board again.
The lock keeps the pattern still while your child is beading. Hold the lock for a moment to unlock.
The big arrow at the top left goes back to the library.
The brush opens an empty board where your child can draw a pattern of their own.
Saved on the device
Favorites, stars and own patterns are saved only on the device. They are kept when the app is updated but removed if the app is deleted. Nothing is synced between devices.
Without internet
The iPhone and iPad app works fully without internet. On the web, pages that have been opened once also work offline.
For grown-ups
The gear at the top right of the library leads to settings: language, the board for own patterns and guide lines. They are protected by a math question, so children do not end up there by accident.
