Privacy policy

Pearls collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no purchases. Nothing your child does in the app is sent to us or to anyone else, and we never sell or share any data.

The data controller is FBZ AB, reg. no. 559600-8242, Sweden. Send questions about privacy to info@pearlsapp.se.

Favorites, stars for finished patterns, own patterns, color changes, the chosen board, language and other settings are saved only on the device: in the app's own storage on iPhone and iPad, and in the browser's storage on the web. This data never leaves the device, and we cannot see it.

The iPhone and iPad app contains all patterns and does not contact any servers while it is used.

The web version is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service, and loads updates to the pattern library from Google's Firestore database service. The website pearlsapp.se is delivered by Cloudflare. As with any web page, the servers receive your IP address and browser details in order to respond, and the providers keep them for a limited time in their logs for operations and security. Nothing your child does is included, we do not use this information ourselves, and neither the web version nor the website sets cookies.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in serving the pages and protecting them from abuse. Google and Cloudflare process the data on our behalf under their data protection terms, and we only use providers that protect the data at least as well as this policy describes. Both may process data in the United States, and both are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if it is in the email, and what you write. We use it only to reply to you. The email is received through Cloudflare and stored with Google, and is deleted no later than one year after the last contact. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions.

The app is made for children. It never asks for a name, age, email address or any other information about the child, and it has no chat, no sharing and no uploads. Settings are behind a parental gate.

Everything saved is removed when the app is deleted from the device. On the web, clear the site data for the page in your browser. We hold no data about you apart from emails you have sent us yourself, and we delete those when you ask.

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You can also object to the processing. Write to us and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Future versions may add features, for example a purchase of more patterns. If a change affects what data is processed, we will update this policy before that version is published and change the date above.
